El Campo Compressor Rental Inc. was formed in 1974 by the late Martin Michaelsen of El Campo, Texas. From its founding in 1974, the company operated strictly as a natural gas compressor rental company providing small wellsite compression to independent producers along the Texas Gulf Coast. In 1987, the company was purchased by his son Brian Michaelsen. Brian, a petroleum engineer graduate of Texas A&M University, has since expanded the business to include multiple services related to the oil and gas industry. Those services now include Natural Gas Compressor Rentals, Mechanical Field Services, Shop Fabrication and Repair Services, Pressure Vessel Repairs and Alterations, Heat Exchanger Cleaning Services and Trucking Services.
